We Are Seeking:
A highly motivated, hands-on biologist or biochemist to work closely with our scientists on advancing existing drug discovery programs and supporting new drug discovery efforts. The ideal candidate will have experience learning and executing biochemical and small molecule screening assays.
Your Role:
- Support protein-based assay development and execution including protein handling, protein labeling, and optimizing assay conditions
- Execute high-throughput screening and validation experiments
- Work in close collaboration with scientists to design and execute experiments
- Analyze, interpret, and communicate scientific results
- Maintain meticulous and transparent records of all work
Your Qualifications:
- BS/MS in biological sciences (biology, biochemistry, molecular biology) with at least 2-5 years hands-on research experience in pharma/biotech or a relevant academic environment, industry and start-up experience preferred
- Experience in biochemical assay development and troubleshooting
- Prior experience in assay automation and high-throughput screening is highly recommended
- Familiarity with programming languages (python, R, SQL) and experience with LIMS/ELN systems desirable
- Ability to think critically and generate creative solutions to challenging scientific questions
- Ability to think strategically, work collaboratively, and execute a project to timely completion
